Welcome to the MoneyFlow Blog
TL;DR
This blog covers budgeting fundamentals, debt payoff strategies, and MoneyFlow product updates. New posts publish regularly on the blog index, and reader topic requests are read and considered.

Welcome to the MoneyFlow blog. This is where we'll share practical guides on budgeting, saving, and paying down debt, along with tips on getting the most out of the app.
What to expect
Expect posts on budgeting fundamentals: how to think about Safe-to-Spend, sinking funds, and building a budget that survives contact with real life. We'll also cover debt payoff strategies, like snowball vs. avalanche and how to read your payoff date as it moves, plus product updates on new features as they ship and the reasoning behind them.
Why we're doing this
MoneyFlow is built by a solo developer who cares about the "why" behind the numbers, not just the numbers themselves. The blog is a place to go deeper than the app's UI allows - the math, the trade-offs, and the habits that move your net worth. New posts show up on the blog index as they're published, and if there's a topic worth covering, reach out - every message gets read.
What the app itself does
If you're new here: MoneyFlow is a privacy-first budgeting app that tracks spending, savings goals, investments, debts, subscriptions, bills, and income in one place, then boils all of it down to a single Safe-to-Spend number - what's actually free to spend right now, after everything already committed. It doesn't require linking a bank account; everything is entered manually and stored on your device, with optional cloud backup if you want it. Core tracking is free. The blog and the app are meant to work together - the posts explain the reasoning, the app does the tracking.
