Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

MoneyFlow ("the App") is a personal finance tracker available on Android and iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is handled. Using the App without creating an account requires no personal information at all.

2. Data We Collect

The App operates in two modes with different data handling:

• Guest mode (no account) - All financial data is stored locally on your device only. No data is sent to any server. No account is required.
• Signed-in mode (optional) - If you create an account, we collect your email address (required for authentication) and store a copy of your financial category data on our servers (Supabase) to enable cloud backup and multi-device sync. No financial data is shared with third parties.
• Pro subscription - If you subscribe to MoneyFlow Pro, your purchase is processed by RevenueCat and the respective app store (Google Play or Apple App Store). We do not handle or store payment card details.

3. Permissions Used

The App requests the following device permissions:

• Notifications - Used to send optional spending reminders, bill renewal alerts, and achievement notifications. Entirely optional; disable in app settings at any time.
• Network access - Used only when signed in, for cloud backup/sync and AI tip generation (Pro feature).

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase - Authentication and cloud database for signed-in users. Data is stored in the EU region.
• RevenueCat - In-app subscription management. Handles entitlement verification without storing payment data.
• Firebase / Crashlytics - Crash reporting to help identify and fix bugs. No financial data is included in crash reports.
• PostHog - Anonymous product analytics (screen views, feature usage). No financial data is included. Disabled in guest mode.
• OpenAI (Pro only) - Weekly AI tips are generated by sending anonymised category summary data (spending totals, goal progress, debt status) to OpenAI via a Supabase Edge Function. No names, email addresses, or identifiers are included.

5. Cookies (Website)

This website (getmoneyflow.app) uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate visitor traffic, which sets cookies in your browser. These cookies are only set after you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit - you can decline, and no analytics cookies will be set. This is separate from the App itself, which does not use browser cookies.

6. Data Deletion

Guest mode data is stored locally only - uninstalling the App permanently deletes all data. For signed-in accounts, you can delete your account from Profile → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your email address and all synced financial data from our servers. The deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

If you no longer have access to the App, you can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing elbeqqal.youssef@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account. We will confirm and complete the deletion within a few business days.

7. Children's Privacy

MoneyFlow is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy will be updated when significant changes are made to data handling. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
